Pick out an item(s) to glaze.
Grab paint brushes, a palette, and make sure there is a cup of water at your table.
Pick glaze colors you want to use and fill the palette half way full for each color/section used. You can always get more if needed.
There is no correct brush stroke pattern. Just make sure to paint 3 layers. Each layer needs to be completely dry before starting the next layer.
IMPORTANT RULE- Do not pain the bottom of your piece(s). This is the part of the pottery that touches the table when you set it down. If you get some on the bottom, just wipe off with a wet paper towel.
You must use the white (#16) glaze if you want to paint part of the piece white. The glaze has the ingredients that make the pottery shiny and smooth after firing.
You can make your own colors by mixing glaze in the palette. It works just like the color wheel (i.e. red and white make pink)
Fill out a name tag form with the best name and phone number for pick up. We text once items are ready (about 1-2 weeks after the event).
